Many have mixed feelings about Los Angeles. I think it's a wonderful place, especially when you discover The Huntington Library, La Brea, LACMA, The Griffith Observatory, The Broad, The Getty Centre, Venice Beach and, of course, Hollywood, the whole about to collapse into the San Andreas Fault, we are told. For me the spinning tops symbolize the transitory state of the city, and its restlessness, no idea too outlandish for serious consideration, while the floating forms suggest the future we are about to encounter, nowhere with greater certainty than in this city of fallen angels perched on the leading edge of the known world. We are all Angelinos now. Click on each thumbnail below to view the enlarged image.
